Default cap Shadow Prison in about an hour !!

well, i was tired of playing a pvp sin when my pve sin had all the cool armor and weapons, but i was already working on 3 other pve character in nightfall and didn't feel like going through almost the whole game just to cap one of the best sin skill elites there is, Shadow Prison !

ok, first things first, cross your sin over from factions, do the quick quests and mission on noob island and get yourself to Yohlon Haven. there should be a quest there, forget name, that takes u too Sunspear Sanctuary. once at sunspear, you can either get ready to run, fight or get a guildie or friend to help out with the run. if you don't have map open, and are unfamiliar with the territory it can be a bit confusing. here's a link too good map that should help you out. http://guildwars.gameamp.com/modules...s/300_full.jpg

my first stop was Ventra Cemetary, although that town might be bypassed, not sure. anyway, from there is where you'll need a map to get you north, too Gate of Desolation. its very easy to run or fight your way there, just gotta know the route.

at Gate of Desolation you must have a friend/guildie or hire a runner to get you any furthur. since you can't ride the wurms, you MUST DIE in order for your runner to be able to ride the wurms. very easy wurm run too Remains of Sahlahja. your runner should be able to solo that run. wurms have a great run skill, but your runner will need a few regular runs as well.
although Shadow Prison is located inbetween Remains and Basalt Grotto, u must go to Basalt FIRST! keep in my mind, u must keep killing yourself so your runner can ride the wurms. your runner may have to fight a few baddies on this run, so make sure he takes a full group. this part is half run half fight.
btw, here's a link to where cap is located: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Image:A..._Quick_Map.jpg

you should be at Basalt Grotto now, the cap is close but not that simple.
your runner needs to get a full group of heros/henchies again and kill a few groups. dont forgot to go commit suicide again, but this time, you'll be rezed. after ur runner/fighter fights the first couple groups it comes time to kill the boss. the boss is in the sand, so you MUST pull the boss as close to the mainland as possible. pretty easy to do since he should shadow prison to your runner/fighter, just make sure he pulls him as much as possible, should be easy to get him killed next to the shore/sand/land area. once boss is killed, your runner/fighter gets outta the wurm, rez's you, and u walk over and cap Shadow Prison !!!

i hope this helps alot of you out there, i know the pain of getting in groups as a sin, but this skill is so worth having. should save you 40+ hours of gameplay.

enjoy!

i played from consulate docks mission through jennur'e horde mission in about 2 days just to cap shadow prison....if youve already played through the game on another character and know the map, its very easy to play through.

...so? That has NOTHING to do with this thread. He does it in 1 hour, you do it in 2 days, his way is faster, so we don't care about your 2 days.

wow, never expected to get any negative responce here. was just trying to help out some fellow sins who might not be far into the game or haven't crossed there sin over to nf yet.
i found a way to bypass the missions and save some time, i thought it was cool and someone else might want to try it.

It's not negative. It's good for those that DO care. But I don't, since I don't play NF PvE. ( Yet ).

Sorry if you feel bad, I was replying to X Earth X.

Thanks for the tip, helped me reach the location of Shadow Prison quick. I tried to get into Bone Palace while I was there but it was gated off. Guess I might have to progress through story line for Ancient Armor.

It's useful to me, since now I can go cap a great elite on my sin without wasting time doing all the missions. I hadn't thought about using this route to make my way past the desolation, so this info helps me quite a bit. If you don't find it useful, it doesn't mean that others don't.

That is cool I did not think you could get run any where past the worms without actually doing the missions...

are there people who actually offer runs? or do you just have to spam it and hope someone does it?

Meh, deleted the Pve version of Brehon after I lost the ambition to play through the NF storyline again.

Ah, judging from the map he posted you can get this elite without even having to do Gate of Desolation or even the Sebelkeh mission. Just go to basalt grotto and take the non-sulfurous route to the boss, then pull.

Actually fighting the boss though may be a bigger problem.
